Hello Everyone,
Welcome to the First Series of “Whispers of the web”. In today’s blog, I will talk about the Secrets of the Blogosphere every noob should know AKA tips and tricks to help you as well. With the amount of research I’m doing, I figured sharing some useful ideas would be key and also, helping out a community.
Let’s Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. I did the research so you don’t have to!
Tip one:
1. SEO Isn’t a Robot — It’s a Map
SEO- Search engine optimization
What is Search engine optimization? the art and science of getting pages to rank higher in search engines such as Google, Bing and Yahoo.
Search engine optimization might sound technical, but at its core, it’s about helping the right people find your words. Use keywords that real people would search. Include meta descriptions, alt text for images, and headers that flow logically.
Write for humans, guide for Google.
How does one increase their rank?
I’ve learned from someone that eery picture must include an alt text, Keywords must be on your landing page, and
Engagement
Having a blog is one thing. There are so many blogs out there, it is hard to keep count. What makes your blog unique? Is it the web design? The content? Yes, all of this can be helpful but, what really keeps people coming back is engagement. Engaging with them in a timely manner also helps. Maybe it’s my corporate side talking, but following up with people within the first 24-48 hours is key. I’m sure most of us worked in a place where customer service is imperative to keep people buying products, going to fast food places, etc. You go there for the product, but how many times do you stop going there because, of bad vibes? I recall one day I went to KFC and the lady was sooooo rude. Not only did it affect my taste for her personality towards me but, it also affected me spending money with KFC in general. I have enough attitude by myself, I don’t need yours. Same thing with engaging with your audience. One negative opinion can have a downward trifecta. Leaving them on read, getting to their responses in an untimely manner, or not engaging with the people that are showing you support is not the way to go. No matter how big or small your brand is, engagement doesn’t cost you a thing.
Functionality
If you were an onlooker on your website, how easily accessible is everything? Asking a friend, a collegue, a family member can give you different aspects and tips on how to make your blog better.
Your Voice Matters More Than Perfection
In a world flooded with content, authenticity cuts through the noise. You don’t need perfect grammar, a fancy theme, or thousands of followers to begin. Start with your truth. Someone out there needs to read exactly what only you can write.
Let your words be real before they’re refined.
Consistency Builds Trust (and Traffic)
Blogging isn’t about going viral instead it’s about showing up. Whether you post weekly or monthly, pick a rhythm and honor it. Over time, consistency builds connection with your readers and with your voice.
Think of your blog like a garden — water it regularly and it will grow.
Headlines Are Half the Battle
Your headline is the whisper that invites the world in. It should stir curiosity, speak to a pain point, or promise a clear takeaway. Don’t be afraid to write 10 versions before finding the one that feels just right.
