🛕 The Adventure to Beginning of The Sands
It all started when the early tribal people migrated to the Nile River as early as 6000 B.C., forming tribes. Eventually, Egypt then began to have two kingdoms called “Upper Egypt” and “South Egypt” based on the Nile River. The Nile wasn’t just a place, it was the cornerstone because, of the seasonal flooding this made the Nile have rich soil that nourished the crops and supported the families living there. Ancient Egypt civilization began in 3100 B.C. by King Narmer when Egypt was unified by conquering the south of Egypt.
Egypt was first known as “Kemet”- meaning the “Black Land” for its richness in soil. Geographically is on the Northeast corner of Africa. The capitol of Egypt is Cairo. Hieroglyphs'- Egypt’s sacred texts captured language in pictures. Far back since 3200 B.C the sacred texts adorn temples, monuments and tombs. These symbols were painted in papyrus and carved into stone encapsulating laws, storytelling, prayers, and poems. Fun fact: Using the Rosetta Stone in 1799 was how the hieroglyphs got deciphered.
Religion was the heartbeat of Egypt. Their Gods could be found everywhere from nature, animal life, and dreams. Temples weren’t just built for worship but, a portal between the mortal and divine worlds. Death wasn’t the end but, a transition.
